Evaluation of regional innovative potential

The article describes the author's approach to the assessment of the regional innovation potential, based on the disaggregation of its structure into active and passive components. It proves the model of integral index of the regional innovative potential as a linear function of its constituent component subindeces. The activity of regional authorities in the sphere of innovations is considered to be a significant factor determining the level of innovative potential. The authors analyze the regional innovative potential of the Siberian Federal District and determine their typology according to the largest integral index on the basis of the proposed method. The tools of correlation analysis helps the authors to find out a statistically significant relationship between the components of the innovative potential that explains the dependence of the quality of regional innovative policy on the real factors of development of innovative activity in the region.
