Assessment of the institutional environment of business in Russia

The article deals with the role of the business institutional environment in the economic system of the society. The authors describe the typical features of the small and medium business enterprises under the conditions of the developing institutional environment of business. The role and relevance of the state regulation of the business activities are substantiated, and the regional business’s institutional environment is assessed.
