The assessment of the intensity of professional stress and its effect on the coping behavior and the mechanisms of psychological defense of internal law enforcement executives

The article presents the results of studying the intensity of professional stress of internal law enforcement executives in comparison to the indicators among the common internal law enforcement officers in the reference group. The author distinguishes sub-groups with a high, average, and low intensity of professional stress. 62% of the internal law enforcement executives demonstrated an average intensity of professional stress, 23% - a high one. The article considers the peculiarities of the coping behavior of the internal law enforcement executives in the sub-groups with a high and low intensity of professional stress. The article contains the results of studying the psychological defense mechanisms of internal law enforcement executives.
