An evaluation of the efficiency of an employer based on the quality of working life in transformation of the competitive environment and the labor sphere

This article substantiates the scientific and practical relevance of developing a methodological approach to assessing the effectiveness of an employer's activities based on the indicator of the quality of working life in the transformation in the labor market and the labor sphere associated with the development of an information technology society, and flexible and remote forms of work. The development of the theory and methodology of managing the quality of the working life are considered. The concept of “the quality of working life” is defined, and the category “the efficiency of an employer's activity” is proposed for the first time. A methodical approach has been developed for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the activity and competitiveness of an employer using indicators of wages, social security, a special assessment of working conditions, the analysis of management documentation, observation, and employee surveys. An indicator for assessing the satisfaction of employees with the quality of their working life is proposed. The developed methodological approach makes it possible to assess and improve the quality of the working life of employees, balanced with an increase in the efficiency of the organization. The results of the study can be used to assess and increase the efficiency of employers' activities, the quality of the working life of employees, the development of effective labor relations, and an increase in the efficiency of workers in production and other organizations.
