Assessment of the Effectiveness of Distance Learning for Adults in Electronic Formats
Бесплатный доступ
The effectiveness of distance e-learning for adults is presented as an economically, professionally and career-wise feasible result that justifies the invested resources. Based on the peculiarities and tasks of the two forms of learning - traditional (“live”) and electronic (online distance), it is proposed to separately apply the concept of effectiveness to them, taking into account the obviously unequal starting position and different goals and objectives. It is concluded that distance learning, considered from the standpoint of effectiveness as an economic category, is always significantly cheaper for the consumer (student) due to lower costs that affect the assessment of effectiveness. To ensure the effectiveness of the educational process, it is proposed to put the learner at the center of the learning system rather than technology, as is the general practice, thus realizing the concept of effective learning communities. Within this concept, social, pedagogical and cognitive interactions form a useful and comfortable environment for learning and personality development, capable of creating the basis for transformation of life prospects of both learners and trainees.
