Assessment of forest fire energy parameters using satellite imagery

Radiative power assessment was performed for the fires detected in the Angara region in 2006. Technique for fireline intensity estimation using radiative power measurements is introduced. Rates and totals of biomass combustion were estimated using radiative energy values. Possibility of forest fire type determination using satellite imagery was considered.
