Assessment of the application of integrated treatment at the pharmaco-correction of gastroenerites of calves

The purpose of this work is to evaluate the use of complex treatment for the pharmacocorrection of calf gastroenteritis in a comparative aspect with antibiotic therapy and herbal treatment in the OOO "Dairy Products" of the Soviet District of the Republic of Mari El. For the prevention and treatment of these disorders, mineral enterosorbent Polysorb K and probiotic Biostim were proposed. The calves of the first group were treated by giving Biostim in a dose of 10 ml per head and Polysorb K at a dose of 0.2 g per kg of live weight, in decoction of medicinal herbs (chamomile + chicory), 3 times a day. The calves of the second group served as control and were treated with the method adopted in the farm: they drank infusions of medicinal herbs and intramuscularly injected the antibiotic "Nitox" at a dose of 1 ml / kg of body weight. The results obtained confirm that the developed treatment regimen is highly effective in the gastroenteritis of calves. Using it along with symptomatic treatment ensures the recovery of calves earlier for 2 days than with antibiotic therapy. Ten-day administration of Biostim in a dose of 10 ml per head and Polysorb K at a dose of 0.2 g per kg of live weight normalizes the morpho-biochemical parameters of blood earlier by 2 days than the method adopted in the farm.
