Assessment of the resilience of rural territories of the region

The article reveals the definition of “resilience of rural areas” in terms of sustainable development and overcoming the negative consequences of various types of external influences. The objectivity of introducing into practice scientific activity and programming the spatial development of this term has been proven. In order to improve the mechanism of regional management, a methodological toolkit for assessing the resilience of rural areas was proposed and tested on the indicators of the Perm Territory. The peculiarities of the author’s methodology are its versatility, ease of use and the possibility of application throughout the Russian Federation. The validity of the methodology is proven by comparing the results of its testing with system-wide patterns of development of the country’s economy under conditions of external restrictions. The work is addressed to academic economists, representatives of various areas of the scientific community, and specialists from state and municipal authorities.
