Assessment by the Russian population of the availability of residential new buildings in 2023

The authors consider the results of a representative sociological study conducted in July - August 2023, dedicated to identifying citizens’ opinions on the affordability of housing, in particular, new buildings. They determine the features of assessing the accessibility of new buildings for representatives of different social groups of the population living in the Central and Far Eastern Federal Districts and Russia as a whole. It is noted that there was no significant difference in answers depending on gender, age, or marital status of respondents, but there is differentiation of answers by region and income. The data presented in the article can be used to adjust state housing policy.
