Assessment of communicative competencies formation among pedagogical students

The article considers the role of communicative competences in the structure of the pedagogical profession. The author presents a generalized view of the components of universal and communicative competences, addresses the issue of competences assessment, especially applicable to pedagogical areas of training. The experience in the assessment of communicative competences of pedagogical students is described. The conducted multi-level diagnostics of the development of communicative competences among the students demonstrated the need for pedagogical supervision of the future students in the process of their studying at the university, especially during their interaction with schoolchildren, because no test gives a complete and objective picture of the relevance of a particular competence’s manifestation.
