The features of voluntary regulation of breathing in individuals practicing yoga were studied using functional tests. A training coefficient was introduced based on assigning points to each of the three phases of the Serkin test according to its standards, which made it possible to differentiate the state of voluntary regulation of the respiratory function by correlating functional tests with different disturbing effects (hypoxic and combined with dosed physical activity). Differences were revealed between groups of healthy subjects with different degrees of training of the respiratory system and untrained study participants with the risk of latent circulatory failure. The level of training and the health of the respiratory function can be described using a training scale, at one pole of which is a high level of training corresponding to healthy people, and at the other is a low level of training, characteristic of people with latent circulatory failure.
