Assessing the complex intima-media thickness in rheumatoid arthritis female patients of reproductive age

Бесплатный доступ

The assessment results of the complex intima-media thickness of carotid arteries in rheumatoid arthritis female patients of reproductive age are presented in the article. We studied 85 female patients with established rheumatoid arthritis (mean age 42.16.8 years) and 32 healthy women (mean age 43.26.7 years). Rheumatoid arthritis patients were revealed to have increased intimamedia complex thickness independently on cardio-vascular disease history. Valuable risk factors of atherosclerotic vascular injury development are RF-positivity, systematic character and activity of the disease.
