Transaction costs in construction are indirect costs associated with the production process for the search and acquisition of information necessary for the activity, support and conclusion of transactions, contracts, measurement and laboratory studies of the quality of work, legal activities, as well as costs associated with inaccurate information received and bad faith of partners (Opportunistic behavior). The effectiveness of the investment and construction complex depends not only on the rational use of resources, but also on building competent and effective economic ties between participants in investment and construction activities. It can be seen from the calculation that the basic value of transaction costs for the "contracting" group arises during the preparation and filing of an application, as well as at the conclusion of a contract. Both in the first and in the second case, the size of the application is affected by the size of the security of the application established for the participant. The size of the application depends on what factors, such as the experience of the participant in a particular type of work, the availability of a sufficient number of certain specialists, the positive reputation of the company (lack of organization in the register of unscrupulous suppliers), successful experience in litigation, etc.
