Assessment of the contribution of innovations to economic development and increasing the competitiveness of economic entities at the stage of equipment design

Methodological recommendations have been developed for assessing the contribution of innovations to economic development and increasing the competitiveness of economic entities at the design stage of machine tools - metal-cutting machines. The contribution of innovations is the reduction of technological entropy, that is, the measures of the lag of the designed equipment from the best in the world in terms of performance and quality of the manufactured analogues. For each analogue, all indicators affecting the performance of the designed equipment and the quality of products that determine the competitiveness of economic entities are taken into account. The article provides a form and an example of calculating the technological entropy of lathes with numerical control.
