The article presents a method of feeding lactating black-and-white holstinized cows of the 2nd -3rd lactation with the use of seaweed grains Ascofi nodossum and Fucus vesiculosus - a feed supplement “Algodarfi produced by LLC “Arkhangelsk Seaweed Plant” in Arkhangelsk. As a result of the research, the authors justify and study the eff eness of using a feed supplement in the input rate recommended by the manufacturer to increase productivity and improve the physiological and biochemical status of dairy cows. The researchers have recorded the best eff using the feed supplement “Algodarfi at a dose of 10 kilogram per 1 ton of concentrate feed. The Fucus grains are also used in dairy and tribal cattle breeding. The paper proves that the supplement of weed to the ration of young cattle has a positive eff on the animal organism’s resistance, aff their growth and development. The usage of seaweed in cows’ feeding eliminates the need to import mineral andiodine preparations from the central regions, reduces the vitamin defi y of feed, improves the reproductive functions of animals, and warns mastitis. Feed supplements provide normalization of the condition of aseptic cows, have a bactericidal, anti-infl eff during calving and subsequent recovery, and increase the protective functions of the organism and animals’ productivity. When performing the research work we have obtained following results: the introduction to the dairy cows in the diet of feed supplement “Algodargid” at a dose, recommended by the manufacturer (0.1% or 10 kg per 1 ton of feed), has not adversely aff the general condition of dairy cows of the experimental group; clinical and biochemical parameters of blood of all experimental animals have remained in the reference values of the norm for the species. Animals tolerate the feed supplement from weed of the White Sea well. Due to its abundant content of raw fi brown seaweed contributes to better feed absorption which is refl in the increased productivity of dairy cows. The authors show that the introduction of the feed supplement “Algodarfi into the diet has a positive eff on the productivity of dairy cows and the quality of the products.
