Barley seed grain cleaning under conditions Republic of Buryatia

The seed material of barley in the farms of the Republic of Buryatia has an unsatisfactory quality, mainly in terms of the content of seeds of such cultivated and weed plants as wheat, oats and wild oats. The variation curves of barley and wheat seeds along the length have a slight overlap and this impurity can be isolated from the seed material in a cylindrical trireme as a short impurity. Small grains of oats and wild oats, overlapping with the seeds of the main crop in length, are separated from the processed material on a sieve as small impurities, and large grains of oats and wild oats remaining in the processed material are removed from it in a cylindrical trier as long impurities. For a theoretical study of the technological process of cleaning seeds in terms of the totality of sizes, there is not enough knowledge. Methodological provisions for the study of the technological process of cleaning seeds from hard-to-separate impurities by the totality of sizes have been developed. The paper presents a mathematical model of the technological process of cleaning seeds from these impurities in terms of thickness and length. Qualitative indicators of the process of cleaning barley seeds from wild oats (completeness of impurity isolation and seed yield), obtained by the calculation method, are in good agreement with the data obtained experimentally. The technology for cleaning barley seeds from wild oat includes grain processing in an aspiration channel, on a sowing sieve with the separation of small and medium-sized wild oat seeds, overlapping with the seeds of the main crop in length, and in a cylindrical trier with a mesh size of 11.2 mm.
