The article analyzes the different ways of describing reality through the prism of olfactory perception in a fiction text. Olfactory perception is one of the most important phases of the human mind for the development of the objective world that is specifically embodied in a fiction text. At present, the interest in studying olfactory nominative space increases. This leaves open questions about gender-specific language incarnation olfactory images. Therefore, in this article on the material of the male prose XX - early XXI century. identify ways of verbalization odourativeimages, details the most frequent objects that are interpreted through the prism of perception odourative, finds significant for men's artistic discourse olfactory signs. The authors note that in the identified context containing the lexeme smell, often contain linguistic reflection on the lack of an adequate language unit, able to nominate what is perceived and conceptualized speaker.
