Oxidative stress in adolescents having labile arterial hypertension

Indices of the processes of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection were studied in 44 adolescents aged 14-17 years, 21 of them having labile arterial hypertension. Labile arterial hypertension adolescence revealed marked activation of the processes of lipid peroxidation. Disturbed balance in the POL-AOP system towards activation of lipid peroxidation processes in adolescents with labile arterial hypertension points to the possibility of oxidative stress emergence already in initial stage of pathology process development.
