Nonce words in poetry and prose (using the example of Russian and English)

The article analyzes occasional words in English and Russian poetry and prose, gives examples of their formation, accompanied by deviation from the language norms and rules of word formation for the purpose of expressivity, and explains the use of some occasional words by poets and writers. The author compares occasional neologisms with individual stylistic neologisms, and emphasizes the inexpediency of classifying these words as units of language in a textbook understanding, defines author's nonce words as words expressing a meaning of the literary work that does not exist outside the context.
