Eye contact as sense-construction element of direct speech presentation

In this article the author analyses the usage of linguistic means, pointing at the eyes and visual behavior of communicants in a separate piece of a literary text, specifically in the presentation of direct speech.Considering eye contact as a valuable tool of giving verbal artistry, the author concludes that visual realization of nonverbal behavior is capable of delivering many meanings. It allows to describe the communicative situation, express a huge range of emotions and reflect personal relationships.
