In order to develop the elements of technological procedure of biopreparation production, based on promis-ing strain pest-antagonist Xk-1-4 Chaetomium olivaceum Cook et Ellis, the optimal nutrient medium for the strain-producer in conditions of stationary and submerged cultivation was worked out. The most favourable natural substrate for strain-producer of microbiopreparation were mediums, based on kernels and husks of sunflower with various supplements, waste products of sunflower seed cleaning and corn pulp. In liquid nutrient medium the strain-antagonist grew much worse, than on natural substrate and during 10 days of stationary cultivation no carposomes were formed in any of the trialed nutrient medium. The growing of the strain in submerged cultivation hadn’t cause mass formation of carposomes and sporula-tion; even in better nutrient medium the titre didn’t exceed 107 CFU/ml, though in mediums of natural substrate it made up 109 CFU/ml.
