This work presents a methodology for optimizing the formulation composition of a biologically active dietary supplement aimed at correcting excessive body mass. The main objective of the study was to identify interdependencies between the physicochemical characteristics of formulation components and the effectiveness of the supplement in reducing body weight. A regression analysis using SPSS software was employed to quantitatively assess the contribution of each ingredient to the functional properties of the dietary supplement. Four groups of ingredients were investigated: blackcurrant press residues, hawthorn powder, soy okara, and pumpkin press residues. Their influence on key product parameters such as dietary fiber content, ascorbic acid, potassium, and total mineral component (ash content) was examined. Analysis results allowed identifying the most effective formulations. Specifically, formulation X2 demonstrated the best correlation coefficients (R=0.923) and explained variation (R2 =0.852). These high values indicate that 85% of variations in nutritional value can be attributed to the formulation components. Other formulations showed less significant correlations, highlighting the advantages of formulation X2. As a result of this analysis, the most promising formulations have been identified, with the second formulation (X2) showing superior correlation and determination indices, making it a priority for further development.
