Optimization of the organization of the workplace using the 5S lean production system

Waste of time is one of the main problems for managers, regardless of their level and functions. In the context of the constant growth of competition, as well as the requirements and expectations of consumers, lean manufacturing has become relevant not only for industrial holdings producing goods, but also for companies providing services. The efficiency and effectiveness of the work of managers, specialists, workers, and, accordingly, the success of the company, which determines the relevance of this work, largely depends on how the work, the workplace and the workspace of the office specialists are organized. The 5S system leads to an increase in labor indicators, labor productivity. The works of domestic and foreign scientists devoted to the use of lean manufacturing systems, including the 5S system in the practice of HR specialists, are analyzed. The current system of organizing the workplace of an office worker is characterized by the example of an employee of the personnel administration department of JSC “TK Megapolis”. The work analyzes the organization of the workplace according to the 5S system, identifies the main stages of the introduction of that system, and what types of losses are supposed to be reduced using this system.
