The article describes the process of movement of the liquid in the pressure pipe with joint connections. The criteria equations are obtained. The mounted experimental setup allows varying the parameters of the joints and modes of motion of the fluid according to the plan of the experiment. The studies have shown that coefficient depends only on the geometry of the joint connection - the relative thickness and the cone angle (δ/d = [0.01 - 0.0185]; tgα = [0 - 0.049]) in a quadratic resistance area of local resistance. In transitional area the coefficient depends on the geometrical sizes and Reynolds''s number. According to the results of calculations the equations were derived to determine the coefficient of local resistance and the selection of the optimum internal amount of joint connection taking into account minimization of losses of a pressure. The research results can be used in the design of utility networks.
