The article presents the experience of using the score-rating control system in foreign languages teaching for students of nonlinguistic departments of the Buryat State University. The main problems with the implementation of the score-rating control of students’ language studies quality include the problems of the educational process organization and the problems identified by the specifics of the discipline “Foreign language”.
