Experience of intraoperative apparatous reinfusion of autoerythrocytes at operations in oncology

Using the hardware reinfusion of washed red blood cells has obvious advantages over the transfusion of blood components. Aim: to increase the use of hardware reinfusion of washed red blood cells in the surgical treatment of cancer patients. Materials and methods. Various operations were performed in 186 patients: 125 males (67,2 %), and 61 females (32,8 %), age from 54 till 72 years (mean age 59,8 ± 5,7 years). During perioperational management included hyper- and normovolemic hemodilution, as well as intraoperational device-based retransfusion of RBC. Discussion and conclusions: our research showed, that application of device-based retransfusion of RBC allows considerable improvement of quality infusional-transfusional therapy, provides expressed positive effect on postoperative period, and allows reduction or complete avoidance of transfusions of donor blood preparations. Moreover, usage of leucocyte filters during transfusion of washed RBC completely alleviates danger of blood dissemination in oncological patients.
