The study of European romanticism with students of the correspondence department at the pedagogical university

The article examines the problems associated with the study of the course «History of foreign literature» in Shadrinsk Pedagogical University. The main emphasis is made on the practical experience of teaching in the section «Romanticism in European literature» for students of the distance learning who are studying in the direction of training «Pedagogical education». The most typical reasons for the difficulties of studying romanticism are revealed, and the ways of their correction and formation of system knowledge on the foreign literature of the first third of the XIX century are determined.
