In the process of treatment of Acute Cerebrovascular Event (ACE), it was found that the course (14 days) of memantine 10 mg / day in patients during rehabilitation showed a higher efficiency in the recovery of aphasic disorders relative to the standard therapy group and was comparable with the use of Akatinol Memantine. The study did not reveal the peculiarities of Memantinol''s influence on various severity levels, however it was noted that the recovery level in the group of patients with motor aphasia is higher than in the sensory-motor one.In the study it was also shown that against the background of treatment in parallel with the improvement of the neuropsychological status, the affective status of patients improves, the severity of subjective symptoms decreases, and the quality of life improves. Thus, the obtained results testify to the prospects of the use and safety of prolonged therapy of Memantinol in patients with moderate cognitive functions.
