Experience in the treatment of primary extranodal thyroid gland lymphoma

Primary extranodal thyroid gland lymphoma is a rare disease. We studied 16 cases of primary extranodal thyroid gland lymphoma more frequently observed in old women. Stage 1AE was diagnosed in 5 patients, stage 1BE in 1 patient, stage 2AE in 5 patients and stage 2ВЕ in 5 patients. Prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment for primary extranodal thyroid gland lymphoma result in a favorable prognosis.
