Organizing tour activities in the new greenhouse of the N.V. Tsitsin Main Botanical Garden

The first plants were planted in the 2009 in the New Greenhouse. The public opening was planned for the 2016. In that same year, we began preparing new tour guides. The preparation program was based on (1) lectures on the basics of structural botany of tropical plants, biogeography and phytocenology of tropical forests, (2) tours with experienced guides, (3) the independent work of students, such as tour practicing, obtaining plant recognition skills. Of the initially received more than 360 applications for training 40 people were passed, of which successfully completed 9 who works currently with us.
