The experience of preparation and conduct of the III round of the national student Olympiad on the specialty «Regional studies» in the Historical and sociological institute of Ogarev Mordovia State University

The authors analyze the methodology of organizing and conducting the Russian National Student Olympiad on the specialty "Regional Studies". They characterized in detail competitive tasks and evaluation criteria. In the dynamics are given by them the quantitative and qualitative indicators of participation in the Olympiad of students from various Russian universities. On the base of many year experience in organizing of the event the authors produced practical recommendations.
