The experience of low-intensity laser use for some complications of chemotherapy and radiation therapy for malignant tumors in children

Бесплатный доступ

Low-intensity laser was used to decrease some side effects of anti-tumor therapy in 40 children with malignant tumors. Radiation-induced esophagitis and gastritis were treated quite successfully. In radiation epidermitis marked positive effect was achieved in 2/3 of patients with that complication. In cases of myelosuppression no improvement of blood count was observed, but patients felt some improvement of well-being.
