The article explores the experiences of implementing project-research activities in educational institutions in Russia. Project-research activity is considered a key tool for developing students' cross-disciplinary competencies, including critical thinking, the ability to conduct independent research, and solving applied tasks. The purpose of the study is to analyze current practices in the introduction of project-research methods in higher education, as well as to evaluate their effectiveness and impact on educational outcomes. The paper analyzes successful models of implementing project-research activities in various educational institutions.
