The article examines the experience of implementing project activities in higher education as an important component of the educational process aimed at the formation of universal competencies among students. The methodology of project activity, including the stages of its implementation, is being investigated. The concept of «project» is disclosed, a description of the implemented project is given. Special attention is paid to the result of the students’ work on the project. The difficulties faced by students and teachers during the work on the project are highlighted, as well as measures to optimize project activities are proposed. In conclusion, the importance and prospects of further work on the implementation of project activities are emphasized.
