Spelling and punctuation of English spells of the 12th century

The article examines the features of the phonetic structure of the Middle English language period using the example of texts of incantations and spells. Punctuation and graphic design of texts are also taken into account. An analysis of the original texts of conspiracies and spells of the 12th century is carried out. The results of the study are proof that the English language belongs to the Germanic language group and a comparison of Middle English with the modern language.
