Organic view of history: structure and meanings

Бесплатный доступ

The article makes a case for the organic understanding of history as the basis of historical education. Appealing to the classical works of the Russian organic school (Apollon Grigoriev, Nikolai Strakhov, Konstantin Bestuzhev-Ryumin and Grigory Pomerants) the author states social and cognitive preference of the outgoing horizon of personal truth within the framework of organic understanding over the dogmatic formulas of historical ideology and theoretical positivism. The author justifies the need to formulate attitudes of the integral-organic historical vision and critical thinking in teaching, which would serve to distribute the idea of the unity of history along with the diversity of its understanding and interpretations in a complex modern society.
