This article examines the principles of the formation of pedagogical conditions for organizing and conducting extracurricular work with students of secondary school age on life safety. The author also substantiates that the active and systematic use of various methods of organizing and conducting extracurricular work will make the learning process in life safety lessons more effective, improve the quality of education and upbringing, give students the opportunity to develop their interests, broaden their horizons, and activate cognitive independence.
