The article discusses the organization of experimental work on the formation of the professional readiness of an IT specialist in a digital educational environment. The ascertaining stage of the experiment, which includes the development of a diagnostic tool, the definition of criteria, indicators and levels of formation of the formation of professional readiness of an IT specialist, is considered. The criterion-diagnostic apparatus for studying the formation of professional readiness is disclosed. The characteristics of the methods used are given.
