Relevance. The development of volleyball in educational institutions located in rural areas is often characterized by such examples as a small number of students, a modest volleyball infrastructure, a lack of modern equipment and so on. The high quality of sectional work with young volleyball players can be supported by the use of innovative opportunities for comprehensive training of students, characterized by: a mixed composition of sports sections, a large amount of motor activity of adolescents in the fresh air, the use of training facilities of related sports in classes with young volleyball players, and so on. The purpose of the study is to identify and optimize the structural, substantive, organizational and methodological features of sectional volleyball classes for 13-year-olds living and studying in rural areas in conditions of a limited number of students of the same sex, contributing to an increase in the efficiency and effectiveness of their training process. Research methods: To achieve the intended research goal and solve the tasks set, such methods as the study and analysis of scientific and methodological literature, content analysis of constructive and regulatory documents, pedagogical supervision, pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics were used. The results of the study. The conducted content analysis of instructional and regulatory documents (federal standards, sample programs, textbooks, monographs, manuals, articles) allowed us to develop a high-quality 108-hour program of sectional volleyball lessons with secondary school students of a rural comprehensive school, implemented during 4 months of classes. Its effectiveness has been confirmed experimentally according to the criteria of physical fitness of the students. In three out of five indicators (60%), the difference between the experimental and control groups turned out to be statistically significant in favor of the first one -1=2.36-2.51; PConclusion. The results of the study indicate the prospects of organizing comprehensive training for young volleyball players aged 13 years studying in rural schools, based on filling groups of students of both sexes, increasing the volume of outdoor activities, using intensive exercises from related game sports -basketball and football during physical training. Indicators of physical fitness of students who showed statistically significant differences (running 30 m, shuttle running 3x10 m, flexion-extension of the arms at rest) should be used to control the quality of sectional volleyball lessons with rural teenagers.
