Organization of social and professional tests for students at the pedagogical college

The purpose of this article is to theoretically substantiate and analyze the practical experience of students undergoing social and professional tests at a pedagogical college, which are one of the effective areas that ensure a successful choice of future work activities by students and give them the opportunity to correlate professional intentions with personal interests and qualities. Professional tests allow to simulate various aspects and elements of a specific type of professional activity, correlate your personal potential with the requirements of a specific area of work and contribute to a conscious and informed choice of profession. Social tests give students the opportunity to get acquainted with the surrounding social reality, to consolidate the necessary behavior patterns by simulating various situations, to gain their own experience in making responsible decisions, to ensure the organization of various forms of socio-cultural activity and act as a means of familiarization with it. A model for implementing professional and social tests was developed and tested at the Magnitogorsk Pedagogical College, which includes diagnostic-technological, situational, functional and control-reflexive components. As part of the career guidance project “Ticket to the Future”, the following career tests were organized for students in grades 6-11 of general education organizations based at the Magnitogorsk Pedagogical College: “Ensuring Information Security of Telecommunication Systems”, “Law Enforcement”, “Jurisprudence”, “Advertising”, “Preschool Education”, “Teaching in Primary Schools”, “Pedagogy of Additional Education”, etc. Schoolchildren also took social tests at enterprises and organizations - social partners, where they learned about the profession of a skilled worker, teacher of additional education, educator, primary school teacher. They needed to conduct an interview, collect information about the profession, its key pros and cons, analyze working conditions, and find out professional prospects.
