Organization of educational project practice in the framework of training future foreign language teachers at the university

The article considers practical aspects of organizing educational project practice in the framework of training second-year bachelor students in the field of Linguistics (profile “Theory and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures”). The experience of scientists and methodologists associated with the management of project activities is analyzed, the stages of educational project practice are highlighted (project initiation, development of the project concept, planning, implementation, completion, defense of the project). An example of the project “Creation of the concept of a distance course in preparation for the Unified State Exam in a Foreign Language” is given, completed by students of F. M. Dostoevsky Omsk State University as part of the educational project practice. The content of the report on educational project practice is described - an individual assignment for practice, an abstract of the project, a group report on educational project practice, reflection. In conclusion, the results are summarized, the main conclusions are made: educational project practice not only contributes to obtaining primary knowledge in the profession, but also develops students’ flexible skills, among the main ones we can highlight: the ability to work in a team, think creatively and outside the box, quickly adapt to a communication situation, show social activity, independence. In order for educational project practice to be effective, we believe it is extremely important to offer project topics that are adequate to the knowledge and skills of students at a certain stage of study at the university, while the presence of risks in the development of projects will be outweighed by the effectiveness of the organization of educational project practice, focused on obtaining primary experience in the field of training.
