The organization of veterinary measures when an unsupervised animal enters a shelter

Бесплатный доступ

An urgent problem in urban and large rural localities is the increase in the number of neglected animals. In the Russian Federation, animal shelters operate in accordance with the requirements of the Federal law «On responsible treatment of animals and on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation». A single procedure for veterinary services for orphanages has not been developed. There are no state or municipal shelters for neglected animals in the Republic of Tatarstan. Activities to regulate the number of animals without owners are mainly carried out by private specialized organizations in accordance with concluded municipal contracts. The established practice and allocated amounts of funding do not allow us to organize a single effective system for regulating the number of animals without owners in the Republic of Tatarstan, which would be open to the animal protection community and provide reliable prevention of diseases common to humans and animals.
