The article deals with the problem of forming a culture of healthy and safe lifestyle for younger students. The necessity is proved and the characteristic features of formation of this value in younger students are highlighted. In order to develop a system of extracurricular activities for primary schools to form a culture of healthy and safe lifestyles for younger students and generalize possible forms of health classes, the analysis of teachers ' experience on the problem of forming a culture of healthy lifestyles for younger students was conducted and programs aimed at forming an effective attitude to their health were considered. The developed concept of "culture of healthy and safe lifestyle of primary school children" is described. it is defined as a state of activity of students aimed at preserving and improving their health, manifested in full physical, mental and social well-being. Generalization of practical pedagogical experience allowed us to identify the characteristic features of the formation of a culture of healthy and safe lifestyle in younger students, which include: the formation of motivation-motivation to perform work and maintain the productivity of this work; systematic actions, classes, and activities for maintaining and strengthening health; regular assessment of the process of working on your health, identifying positive points and analyzing errors (reflection). Based on the results of the analysis, a system of extracurricular activities for the formation of a culture of healthy and safe lifestyle among younger students has been developed, which includes various forms of work and covers grades 1-3 of the school.
