Dedicated to the analysis of the main features of the organization of extracurricular activities in educational institutions. The definition of extracurricular activities, the characteristics of its areas, developed by the federal state educational standard. The models and tasks of organizing extracurricular activities are revealed, and the features of educational levels of extracurricular activities for students are also investigated. It is proposed to build extracurricular activities so that they form social competence, contribute to the psychological and physical unloading of students.
