Organizational innovations and their role in the transition to the knowledge economy

The article deals with the role of innovation in management and organizational processes. The experience of many developed countries suggests that their economic power and competitiveness, the role and influence in the world economy, the level and quality of life depend to a great extent on the success in the development of innovative economy. This tendency is conditioned by the fact that at present the world's investment in knowledge is growing faster than investment in fixed assets. In this article the authors describe the tendency of transition of leading economies to “knowledge economy”, besides an analysis of the Russian economy is given. The reasons why the owners of Russian companies are not interested in the implementation of organizational innovations are considered. Using QRM as one of the modern concepts of production engineering the benefits from introducing organizational innovations for the economy and individual companies are shown. The QRM model is based on four key principles: the power of time, the organizational structure, system dynamics and the time of an operation/work in general. Today the priority type of thinking is spending cuts, which often lead to a reduction and destruction of enterprises, while the QRM that time. The acceleration of production and the time of customer service is a key advantage of this control system. This technology as opposed to well-known and commonly used in large companies identifies time reserves and their reduction. According to the author, the calculation of a result from introduction of this instrument can be carried out on the basis of data on the reduction of production costs by 20-40 %.
