Organizational mechanism for regulating the socialization of foreign students in russian universities: a research model

The article is devoted to the study of organizational mechanisms for the socialization of foreign students in Russian universities based on sociological analysis. The paper examines the theoretical approaches of E. Durkheim and E. Giddens, which explain socialization as the interaction of structural conditions and individual agency. The empirical basis of the study is in-depth interviews with foreign students studying in Russian universities. The experience of adaptation, professional socialization, barriers and opportunities provided by the educational environment are analyzed. The results of the study allowed us to develop a model for the effective regulation of the socialization of foreign students in Russian universities.
