Attenuation of short pulse signal is measured. Measurements were carried out based on measuring installation with a carrier frequency 9.95 GHz and pulse duration of 9 ns. The effect of continuous electromagnetic transmission probing to a considerable depth was revealed. Linear attenuation coefficient is defined for this experiment.
