The article deals with the attitude towards atomism in russian theological academies philosophy of the late XIXth - early XXth century in the context of the history of european philosophy and ancient Christian thought. The representatives of russian theological academies philosophy continue the centuries-old tradition of Christian criticism of atomistic concepts. They revealed the speculative problems of atomism and emphasized the hypothetical character of its assumptions. At the same time, their ideas and reflections did not coincide with the opposite extreme - Aristotelian continualism.
