Understanding and interiorization of patriotism in the formation of personal position high school students when studying images of prominents historical figures of our past through memorial literature

The article examines the attitude of modern schoolchildren to the image of famous Russian political figures, Russian and Soviet history. An analysis of the current situation of reflecting images of outstanding historical characters in Russian society is carried out. The author systematizes the main factors influencing the receipt of historical information by modern schoolchildren, and also presents the results of an empirical study of the attitude of 9th grade students to the images of Ivan IV (the Terrible), Peter I (the Great), V.I. Ulyanov (Lenin). Correlations have been identified in the study of a historical figure through the use of the considered methods and algorithms, forms of work in the study of memorial literature with the solution of a number of important tasks of patriotic education of youth through observed educational actions.
