Main directions of use of information technologies by the investigator

Modern computer technology at the present stage of development of society has a decisive impact on all areas of human activity. Tasks of automation of processes of gathering, storage and processing of the information are actual for the decision of concrete professional problems facing law-enforcement bodies, and as a whole for perfection of law-enforcement activity. The article analyzes the existing directions of use of information technologies in the activity of the investigator, shows the main trends of their development.
